Happy mid-autumn festival everyone :)
mid-autumn now seems very different from before..
i remember when we were younger,
we'd always run around with lanterns
come back all gross and sweaty
eat some mooncakes, drink some tea, look at the moon..
but now a days, i cant imagine this scene anymore...
chinese garden is so near my place,
but. hmm. seems interesting but i see no point in paying 15 bucks to go in and see lanterns
i bet it wont be as exciting and boisterous as before..
hmm. i hope this wont be a dying culture here.
it'd be quite sad..
i havent seen the moon today..
thinking of the moon reminds me of those nights in schladming
where the moon rose behind the dark mountains
a clear bright globe
hanging silently in the dark sky alongside many stars... :)
it was such a pretty sight :)
i remembered once, we stopped our frisbee match
cos we saw the moon rising.. it was so... captivating :)
on other nights, when you step out onto the balcony,
the silence and stillness of moon hanging in the cloudless sky
makes you think of nothing..
nothing at all.
a very peaceful, comfortable silence dawns upon the land...
so pretty :) i wish all of you can experience this some day..
its a sight that singaporeans will never experience here..
the silence there is REALLY silence..
no sound of cats at your void deck...
no sounds of ppl fighting downstairs...
no sounds from a passing car..
no sounds of doors creaking open..
no sounds of computer keyboard clicking..
no sounds of airconditioning..
just silence. pure and untainted silence.
the kind where you'll think twice about even speaking..
viewing stars and the brilliant moon in this environment
makes you feel "wow, God has given us such a lovely world. so many things we know not about.."
lovely lovely :)
dont know how else to describe it..
but beautiful. simply beautiful :)
